James Ian Keith, 12th Earl of Kintore (25 July 1908 – 1 October 1989), known as The Viscount Stonehaven between 1941 and 1974, was a Scottish nobleman
Keith was the son of John Baird, 1st Viscount Stonehaven and Sydney Keith-Falconer, 11th Countess of Kintore. Born James Ian Baird, he changed his name from Baird to Keith by Interlocutor of the Lyon Court 28 June 1967. He worked as a labourer in Britain and Canada in his youth. He succeeded his father in the viscountcy of Stonehaven in 1941. During the Second World War , he joined the Royal Marine Engineers and rose to the rank of major. He lived in South Africa from 1947 to 1952, when he returned to manage the family estate at Rickarton. In 1974, he succeeded his mother as twelfth Earl of Kintore.
Lord Kintore married Delia Loyd in 1935. They had three children:
